A letter from the Chair of Governors

Dear Parents,
As Chair of Governors, it is my duty to inform you that Miss Aspinall has informed the Governing Body of her wish to retire as Headteacher at the end of the summer term. As a Governing Body, of course we were very sad to learn that we will be losing our Headteacher, who has given such magnificent service to the school over seventeen years, a view that I am sure you all share with us.
However, after such distinguished service to the school, we will all appreciate that she deserves to enjoy a long, happy and healthy retirement and the opportunity to follow the many interests that she enjoys outside of the school. We will of course organise something to show our gratitude to Miss Aspinall for the wonderful work she has done in making our school such a happy and successful one over so many years.
It is now the duty of the Governing Body to seek a new Headteacher to succeed Miss Aspinall, hopefully to commence duties in September, something we have already begun to do.
